It's impossible for anyone to see the images that are coming out of Haiti after the horrific earthquake earlier this week and not be moved to compassion. As I lay in bed last night, I thought of the people who were still waiting to be rescued amid the rubble of the fallen buildings. I thought of children looking for their parents, and parents looking for their children.
We should be praying fervently every single day for the many hurting people of this nation. But we can also do more.
This Sunday at Solid Rock, we are going to receive an offering for Convoy of Hope. They are among the ministries and organizations that are on the front lines right now working arduously to meet the massive need.
So continue to pray. And come prepared to give a generous offering this Sunday for disaster relief in Haiti. It's the very least we can do.
