First of all, pre-teens and teenagers, simply, brace yourself, don’t need cellphones.
So says Dr. Russell D. Moore, the Dean of the School of Theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, in his blog, Moore to the Point.
I would only add that if teenagers do have cell phones, I like the idea of them turning in their cell phones to their parents every night before they go to bed so that they don't talk and text into the night. I know one parent who has a 9:00 PM turn-in time for his teenager's cell phone. Not an unreasonable time.
