3:16

I can't wait for Sunday! I love Sundays. There are some Saturday nights I have a hard time going to sleep because of how much I anticipate church the next day. I can tell tomorrow is going to be one of those Saturdays.

I'm excited about this Sunday being Easter. Easter is easily the most important holiday on the calendar. Everything we believe about Jesus, and the Bible, and the church, is centered on the resurrection of Christ.

I'm also excited about beginning our new sermon series, "3:16", based on Max Lucado's latest book. John 3:16 is the most recognizable verse in the Bible, but its familiarity doesn't lessen its value and importance. We'll be talking for the next six weeks about the truths found in this verse.

I hope you'll make it a point to be at Solid Rock for the beginning of "3:16", but don't come alone. Bring someone to church with you this Easter!

The Day Our World Changed

Try not to laugh too hard

So we finally gave in and bought a Wii. It turns out that it's a lot of fun. Unfortunately, my kids were having fun at my expense. I was trying out the boxing and had no idea Bethany was video taping me. The jerky movement at the end of the clip is Bethany shaking because she was laughing so hard.

Happy Anniversary!

Today is the one-year anniversary of the beginning of this blog. I started blogging on June 9, 2007 with this post . One year later, I'm still enjoying blogging about what's going on at Solid Rock Church, and linking to other interesting blogs and articles, as well as blogging about some of my thoughts and reflections related to Solid Rock and the church world in general. I know I have a few readers out there, so as long as there are three of you reading this blog, I guess I'll keep it going. And remember, comments are always welcomed!
